Pick FitBudd if price decides it: its subscription is lower at every roster size we checked ($47 against $129 at 10 clients, $139 against $529 at 50), and it is the cheapest published way to put your own app in the App Store and Google Play. Pick Coachway if you want automations, team roles, meal plans and check-ins in one plan with no add-ons to price, or your clients want the app in a Nordic language or German.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Coachway or FitBudd cheaper?

FitBudd, at every roster size on published prices: $15 against $79 for 2 clients, $47 against $129 at 10, $79 against $229 at 20 and $139 against $529 at 50. Coachway charges $10 for every client past the fifth; FitBudd charges $4 per extra client on Starter and $2 on Pro. Add FitBudd’s $50/mo add-ons only if you need booking, a team or on-demand video.

Which one puts my own app in the App Store and Google Play?

FitBudd. Its Super Pro plan publishes a white-labelled app on both stores for $149/mo plus a $75 setup fee. Coachway’s client app carries your logo and colours, but Coachway has not published a price for a standalone app under your own name. See the FitBudd review.

Do Coachway or FitBudd take a cut of my payments?

FitBudd takes no platform fee on Stripe or PayPal payments. Coachway takes nothing if clients pay through your own Stripe checkout, but its built-in payments (subscriptions, invoices, payment plans) add 2.4% per transaction on top of Stripe’s own fees.

Does either one have AI tools?

FitBudd offers a free AI workout generator for drafting programs. Coachway has no AI tools; if you want AI help with programs or replies, PT Distinction and Everfit also have it.
