Best CrossFit Gym Management Software (2026)

The best software for CrossFit boxes and functional-fitness gyms, ranked by our independent score, with the real monthly cost at 50, 100 and 150 athletes.

Last updated

A box needs software for two jobs that generic gym tools rarely do equally well: the whiteboard (programming, score logging, leaderboards) and the front desk (memberships, class booking, check-in and billing). Some platforms do both, one does only the whiteboard, and the prices range from free to several hundred dollars a month. These are the seven platforms in our catalog that CrossFit and functional-fitness gyms actually shortlist, ranked by the same six-factor score we use everywhere.

Quick picks

  • Best value: WodGuru. Free up to 10 members, then $1 per active member with a $49 minimum and a $249 cap, and every feature included. Programming and score logging are lighter than the box-native specialists.
  • Best box-native all-in-one: Wodboard. Official CrossFit and Hyrox programming, score logging, a member community feed and POS in every tier, priced by athlete count. Published pricing stops at 200 athletes.
  • Best flat price as you grow: PushPress. Core Pro is $159/mo with unlimited members and staff, and there is a $0 Core Free plan that you pay for through a higher card rate (4.99% + $0.30).
  • Best workout tracking and leaderboards: Wodify. The deepest tracking in our gym category, but only the entry plan has a published price ($99/mo per location with a demo, $199 regular).
  • Best whiteboard layer on top of your billing: SugarWOD. Programming, leaderboards and a well-loved athlete app on a 12-step ladder from $4.97/mo, but no billing or POS, so budget a second tool.
  • Best for boxes that also run BJJ or martial arts: Zen Planner. Belt and rank testing built in, published tiers by active member from $99/mo, and SugarWOD tracking alongside.
  • Best free start: Arbox has an always-free tier (5 weekly sessions), and WodGuru and PushPress both have $0 plans.

What it costs at 50, 100 and 150 athletes

This is the monthly subscription only, before add-ons such as a branded app and before card processing. It uses the same fee data as the calculators in each review.

Columns are monthly cost at that many athletes.

Sorted by cost at 100 athletes. WodGuru, PushPress and Zen Planner were re-checked on their official pricing pages on October 9, 2026; Wodify on October 1 and Arbox on October 8. Wodboard’s USD list ($110–$220/mo) was last checked on September 25; its pricing page now leads with GBP (£90–£180/mo on October 9). SugarWOD’s ladder was last checked on September 29. ~ marks a modeled tier: Arbox prices by weekly sessions, not members, so it is shown at Standard ($99). PushPress is shown at Core Pro; Wodify at its demo-booking rate.

Processing usually costs more than the software

A 100-member box collecting $150 a month per member processes $15,000 a month. At 2.9% + $0.30 that is about $465/mo in card fees, more than any subscription above. On PushPress, Core Free at 4.99% + $0.30 costs about $779/mo in fees on that volume, while Core Pro at $159 plus 2.89% comes to about $623/mo, so Pro saves roughly $156/mo once you collect that much.

All-in-one, or billing plus SugarWOD?

Wodboard, Wodify and PushPress (with its $79/mo Train add-on) put programming and billing in one system. The other common setup is a billing platform plus SugarWOD for the whiteboard. That costs two subscriptions (for example, $81/mo for SugarWOD at 46–60 athletes on top of your billing tool), but it lets you pick the best billing price and keep the athlete app your members already know. If you buy official CrossFit or Hyrox programming, check whether it is included: on Wodboard it is part of every tier.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the best software for a CrossFit gym?

In our ranking WodGuru scores highest overall (8.6) on value and simplicity, while Wodboard (8.3) is the most box-native, with official CrossFit and Hyrox programming and score logging included. PushPress (8.1) is the strongest flat-priced option as you grow. The best choice depends on whether you need programming built in and how many athletes you have.

How much does CrossFit gym software cost?

Most single-location boxes pay between about $50 and $230 a month for the subscription. At 100 athletes: WodGuru $100, Wodify $99 (demo rate), SugarWOD $104 (no billing), Wodboard $155, PushPress $159 (Core Pro) and Zen Planner $189. Card processing at around 2.9% + $0.30 usually costs more than the software. See how much gym management software costs for every platform.

Is SugarWOD a gym management system?

No. SugarWOD handles programming, score logging, leaderboards and the athlete app, but not billing, POS or class booking. Most boxes run it alongside a billing platform such as Zen Planner or PushPress. See SugarWOD vs Wodify.

Which CrossFit gym software has a free plan?

WodGuru is free up to 10 members, PushPress Core Free costs $0 with a 4.99% + $0.30 card rate, and Arbox has an always-free tier limited to 5 weekly sessions. All three are realistic for a brand-new box; past a few dozen members a paid plan is usually cheaper overall.

Is PushPress or Wodify cheaper?

On published prices Wodify Essentials is $99/mo per location if you book a demo ($199 regular), while PushPress Core Pro is $159/mo with unlimited members. But Wodify’s higher plans and processing rates are quote-only, and PushPress publishes every add-on. See the full head-to-head, or the best Wodify alternatives and PushPress alternatives.
