Best Gymnastics Software (2026): Gymnastics, Cheer & Swim Schools
The best management software for gymnastics gyms, cheer programs and swim schools, ranked by our independent score, with the real monthly cost at 100, 250 and 500 students.
A gymnastics gym, cheer program or swim school runs on recurring class enrollment, not memberships. You need class rosters and waitlists, monthly tuition, family accounts with several kids on one card, a parent portal and, ideally, skill tracking so coaches can show parents progress. General gym software handles most of that badly, so this ranking only includes the six platforms in our catalog that are built for (or widely used by) youth activity schools, scored with the same six factors we use everywhere.
Jackrabbit Class and Jackrabbit Dance are the same software
Jackrabbit sells one platform under two brands: Jackrabbit Dance for dance studios and Jackrabbit Class for gymnastics, cheer, swim and music schools. The price ladder is identical (we checked both official pricing pages in October 2026), so our Jackrabbit review and its score apply to both. Jackrabbit Class adds student skills tracking for gymnastics and swim levels.
Quick picks
- Best overall for most schools: Jackrabbit Class. Priced by student count: $49/mo up to 100 students, $89 up to 250 and $129 up to 500, with no setup fee or contract. Jackrabbit Plus adds a branded parent app from $93/mo plus a $169 one-time setup fee.
- Best flat price per location: iClassPro. $139, $199 or $299/mo per location with the same core features on every tier, so the bill does not grow with enrollment. The parent app is the weak spot (1.6/5 on the App Store).
- Cheapest entry price: The Studio Director. From $39/mo up to 100 students if you take payments through it ($65/mo software only), but there is no mobile app.
- Best for competitive swim teams: SwimTopia. Meet management, registration and a 4.7/5 family app for $150–$190 a year plus a per-athlete fee. Built for swim teams and meets, not learn-to-swim lessons.
- Best for multi-program businesses: Pike13. Three tiers ($139–$249/mo billed annually) with unlimited clients and staff; member progress and skill tracking come on Premium ($249).
- Best for rec centers and YMCAs: Amilia. Built for camps, swim programs and parks and recreation, from $99/mo, with its card rate and implementation fee ($899–$2,999) published up front.

Columns are monthly cost at that many students.
Sorted by cost at 250 students. Every price comes from the platform review, each re-checked in October 2026. Jackrabbit is shown on its standard ladder (the same for Jackrabbit Class and Jackrabbit Dance) and The Studio Director on its Software Only ladder; taking payments through The Studio Director lowers each tier. Plans that do not scale with students are shown at a typical tier: iClassPro at Elite ($199), Pike13 at Advanced ($195) and Amilia at Standard ($99). SwimTopia is left out because it bills yearly per athlete: about $600 a year for a 100-swimmer team on Team Premium + Meet. ~ marks a modeled figure, mostly because card processing rates are not published.
Per student or per location?
This niche splits into two pricing models. Jackrabbit and The Studio Director charge by student count, so they are cheapest for small and mid-size schools: Jackrabbit costs $89/mo at 250 students. iClassPro and Pike13 charge a flat price per location, so they only win once enrollment is large: at 1,000+ students Jackrabbit is $169–$209/mo, while iClassPro stays at $139–$299. Compare at your real student count, and remember that card processing on monthly tuition usually costs more than the software itself.
Do you need a branded parent app?
Parents book make-up classes, pay tuition and check skill progress from their phone, so the app matters more here than in most gyms. Jackrabbit Plus adds a branded app for roughly $44–$86/mo more than the standard plan, plus a $169 setup fee. iClassPro charges $499 setup plus $150/mo for its branded app, and Pike13 quotes its setup fee on a sales call. The Studio Director has no app at all, only a web portal. Read do you need a branded app? before paying for one.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best gymnastics software?
Jackrabbit and SwimTopia tie at the top of our ranking (7.9), but SwimTopia is only for competitive swim teams. For a gymnastics gym the pick is Jackrabbit Class, Jackrabbit’s gymnastics, cheer and swim brand, which is priced by student count from $49/mo, includes skills tracking and has a branded parent app option. iClassPro (7.4) is the gymnastics specialist with a flat $139–$299/mo per location, and The Studio Director (7.5) has the cheapest entry price at $39/mo with payments.
How much does gymnastics gym software cost?
Most single-location gymnastics gyms pay between $49 and $299 a month for the subscription. At 250 students: Jackrabbit Class $89, Amilia $99, The Studio Director $119 (Software Only), Pike13 $195 and iClassPro $199 (Elite). Card processing on tuition is extra and, for most schools, costs more than the software.
Is Jackrabbit Class the same as Jackrabbit Dance?
Yes. They are the same company and the same price ladder: $49, $89, $129, $169, $209 and $245/mo by student count (0–100 up to 3,001+), with Jackrabbit Plus (branded app) from $93/mo plus a $169 setup fee. Jackrabbit Class is marketed to gymnastics, cheer, swim and music schools and highlights skills tracking; Jackrabbit Dance adds recital and production tools. See our Jackrabbit review.
iClassPro or Jackrabbit: which is better for a gymnastics gym?
Jackrabbit is cheaper for most gyms under about 1,000 students because it charges by student count ($89/mo at 250 students), and it scores far higher on client experience in our reviews (7.8 against 5.0, where iClassPro’s parent app sits at 1.6/5 on the App Store). iClassPro charges a flat $139–$299/mo per location with every core feature on every tier, so it gets relatively cheaper as you grow. See iClassPro vs Jackrabbit Dance.
What is the best software for a swim school?
For learn-to-swim schools that sell lessons by the term, Jackrabbit Class and iClassPro are the usual shortlist, and Amilia suits YMCAs and rec centers that run swim alongside camps and other programs. SwimTopia is the pick for competitive swim teams that need meet management (seed times, psych sheets, entries), at $150–$190 a year plus a per-athlete fee.
What is the best software for a cheer gym?
Jackrabbit Class, iClassPro and The Studio Director all list cheer programs as a core market. Jackrabbit is the cheapest fully published option for most cheer gyms ($49–$129/mo up to 500 athletes); The Studio Director is cheaper still with payments ($39/mo up to 100) but has no mobile app.
