Coachway review
One all-inclusive plan priced per client: cheap for a small roster, expensive once you pass 30 clients.
Coachway is a young Danish online-coaching platform (launched December 2025) with one plan that includes everything: workout builder, meal planner with barcode and photo food logging, weekly check-ins, automations, lead forms, team roles and payments, plus your logo and colours inside its client app. The price is published as a formula, $79/mo for up to 5 clients plus $10 for each extra client, so a 10-client coach pays $129/mo but a 50-client coach pays $529/mo, several times what flat or tiered rivals charge at that size. There is no AI, the coach dashboard is English-only, and its review signal is thin: a 4.7 Trustpilot score and a 5.0 Capterra score, both on small samples.

Scorecard
How we scored Coachway
Six weighted categories. Weights are published and identical for every platform.
What we like
- One plan with every feature included: no tiers to compare and no add-ons to buy
- Price published as a simple formula ($79 for 5 clients + $10 per extra), with worked examples on Coachway’s own page
- Your own Stripe checkout carries no Coachway fee; built-in payments are optional
- Client app in six languages (English, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, German)
- Nutrition depth for the price: meal planner, 1,100+ recipes, barcode and photo food logging
What we don’t
- Per-client pricing gets expensive at scale: $529/mo at 50 clients and $1,029/mo at 100
- No AI tools for programming, nutrition or client replies
- Built-in payments add a 2.4% Coachway fee on top of Stripe’s own fees
- The coach dashboard is English-only, and the coach mobile app cannot reply to check-ins, per Capterra reviewers
- Very new (live since December 2025) with small review samples: 25 Trustpilot reviews and 9 incentivized Capterra reviews
- Monthly billing only, no annual discount; the 14-day trial needs a card

01 Coachway
The short verdict
Coachway is an online-coaching platform from Copenhagen that went live in December 2025. It sells one plan with everything included: workout builder, meal planner, barcode and photo food logging, weekly check-ins, automations, lead forms, team roles and payments, with your logo and colours inside its client app.
The price is a formula: $79/mo for up to 5 clients, plus $10 for every extra client (billed monthly; in Europe €69 + €9, ex-VAT). That makes it one of the cheaper complete tools for a coach with 5 to 15 clients, and one of the most expensive in this catalog once you pass about 30: $529/mo at 50 clients, where Trainerize Pro is $135 and PT Distinction Master is $89.90.
Two more things to weigh: there are no AI tools, and the review signal is thin because the product is so new (25 Trustpilot reviews, 9 incentivized Capterra reviews).
02 Coachway
Who Coachway is for
Coaches with a small roster
(roughly 5 to 15 clients) who want every feature without choosing a tier or add-ons.
Nordic and German-speaking coaches
The client app runs in English, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish and German, and Coachway publishes local prices in Danish, Norwegian and Swedish kroner.
Training-plus-nutrition coaches
who want meal plans, 1,100+ recipes and barcode or photo food logging in the same app as the workouts.
It is a weaker fit if you coach 30+ clients (a tiered or flat price wins: PT Distinction, My PT Hub), want AI help building programs (Everfit, PT Distinction) or want your own app in the stores at a published price (FitBudd).
03 Coachway
Coachway pricing in 2026, explained
There is one plan. You pay a base fee that covers 5 clients and a fixed amount for each client above that. Billing is monthly only, with no annual discount. In euros the same formula is €69 + €9 per extra client, excluding VAT.
| Clients | Monthly | Per client |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | $79 | $15.80 |
| 10 | $129 | $12.90 |
| 20 | $229 | $11.45 |
| 30 | $329 | $10.97 |
| 50 | $529 | $10.58 |
| 100 | $1,029 | $10.29 |
The per-client price barely falls
Most coaching platforms get much cheaper per client as you grow. Coachway does not: every client past the fifth costs the same $10, so the bill grows almost in a straight line. At 50 clients you pay about $10.60 per client; PT Distinction Master works out at $1.80.
Coachway also lists local prices: €69 + €9 in the eurozone (ex-VAT), 499 kr + 65 kr per client in Denmark, 799 kr + 99 kr in Norway and 749 kr + 99 kr in Sweden. The 14-day free trial asks for a card up front (Stripe holds it, with a reminder 3 days before the trial ends), and there is no contract or cancellation fee.
04 Coachway
Payments and fees
Coachway gives you two ways to get paid. If you send clients to your own Stripe checkout, Coachway takes no fee. If you use its built-in payments (subscriptions, invoices, payment plans and reminders), Coachway adds a 2.4% fee per transaction on top of Stripe’s own fees. Money settles in your Stripe account either way.
On a coach billing 20 clients $150 a month ($3,000), the built-in option costs about $72 a month in Coachway fees before Stripe’s cut. That is less than TrueCoach’s flat 5%, but more than platforms that charge nothing on top of the processor.
05 Coachway
What you get
Programming
Workout builder with an exercise library of about 1,800 movements.
Nutrition
Meal planner with 1,100+ recipes and 3,900+ ingredients, plus food logging by barcode and photo (added in July 2026).
Check-ins
Weekly forms with photos and body measurements, and client progress tracking.
Business tools
Automations, lead-capture forms, messaging, team roles, CSV and PDF exports, and a three-column “Power Panel” inbox.
Client app
IOS (iPhone only) and Android, in six languages, with your logo and colours. Step sync on iPhone and Android, and Apple Health.
What is missing: no AI tools, no MyFitnessPal or wearable integrations beyond steps and Apple Health, no habit tracking, group coaching or community features (all raised by Capterra reviewers), and the coach dashboard is English-only. Reviewers also note the coach mobile app cannot reply to check-ins.
Your own app in the stores? Unclear
Coachway’s app page calls a standalone app under your own name “a separate paid option” with no price, while its comparison with Coachplan says it does not sell one. Until Coachway publishes a price, treat it as not available and ask before you sign up.
06 Coachway
What users say
Trustpilot shows 4.7/5 from 25 reviews, all five stars and all from the last 12 months; Trustpilot notes the company has not invited reviews recently. Capterra shows 5.0/5 from 9 reviews, all incentivized. Reviewers praise ease of use and fast support; the complaints are about gaps (habit tracking, group coaching, community, limited macro settings) rather than bugs. The iPhone app does not yet have enough ratings to show a score.
Coachway says it has “100+ paying coach accounts”. That is a small base, so weigh the young track record alongside the scores.

Honest cons
Who should NOT buy Coachway
- Coaches with 30+ clients: the $10-per-client formula overtakes tiered and flat-priced rivals such as Trainerize and PT Distinction.
- Coaches who want AI to draft programs or replies: Coachway has no AI tools; PT Distinction and Everfit do.
- Anyone who wants a long track record: the platform went live in December 2025 and its reviews are few.
